Bio

Daniela Vega joined the ACLU-SDIC as an organizer in August 2024. As a lifelong resident of Imperial County and daughter of immigrant farmworkers, Daniela is fueled by her passion for working families and climate justice. Daniela graduated from Whittier College with a double major in history and Spanish.

Prior to joining the ACLU-SDIC team, Daniela was the labor relations representative with the California School Employees Association, advocating for the success, working conditions and contracts of classified employees in Imperial County. She helped to build and lead a coalition that focused on pushing against the county-wide approval of a charter school.

In her free time, Daniela enjoys reading, traveling and exploring new food places with friends.
