Bio

Eddie Meyer is a public policy professional and advocate with more than two decades of experience advancing civil rights, immigrant justice, and equitable public policy at the local and national levels.

He most recently served as policy director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), where he led policy development and advocacy efforts focused on immigration, education, housing and economic opportunity. In this role, Eddie worked closely with community organizations, members of Congress, and federal agencies to advance legislation and policy reforms that protect immigrant families and underserved communities. His work included coordinating national advocacy campaigns, managing engagement with the White House and supporting the passage of dozens of priority bills.

Prior to joining the CHC, Eddie spent nearly 15 years working for Congressman Juan Vargas (CA-52), in both the California State Legislature and the U.S. House of Represetnatives, including as district director and senior legislative assistant. There, he supported constituents across southern San Diego County and Imperial County, and managed a broad legislative portfolio spanning national security, civil rights, foreign affairs, immigration and veterans’ issues.

A native Californian and bilingual English and Spanish speaker, Eddie began his career as a district office intern and remains deeply committed to dignity, equity and meaningful representation for all communities.
