Smart Justice Campaign

The ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties believes county residents should be encouraged and empowered to vote for one of the most influential elected officials in our criminal justice system, the district attorney (DA).
We can advance the fight for justice and equity in our communities by making sure our fellow San Diegans vote all the way from the top of the ballot to the bottom.
Election Day is June 5. We have only a few days to educate county residents about the power their vote holds in making a positive difference in our region. With your help, we can improve our criminal justice system by electing a DA committed to Smart Justice.
Every voter you help us reach brings us a step closer to achieving a more just and compassionate San Diego County!

• Saturday 6/2, 11:00am-3:00pm, at the Planned Parenthood building (Downtown SD)
• Sunday 6/3, 11:00am-3:00pm, at the local ACCE office in Chula Vista
• Monday 6/4, 5:30-8:30pm at the ACLU office in Bankers Hill and at the Planned Parenthood building (Downtown SD)
• Tuesday 6/5 (Election Day!), 12:00pm-3:30pm at the Planned Parenthood building (Downtown SD)
• Tuesday 6/5, 4:00-7:00pm at the ACLU office in Bankers Hill and at the Planned Parenthood building (Downtown SD)

• Saturday, June 2nd: 9:00am – 2:00pm launching from Morley Field (3268 Florida Dr, San Diego, CA 92104)
• Sunday, June 3rd: 11:00am – 4:00pm door-to-door flyer distribution launching from two locations - Westview Park in Mira Mesa and the ACCE office in Chula Vista
• Tuesday, June 5th: 6:30am-9:00am, meeting at the ACLU office in Bankers Hill and then distributing flyers around local neighborhoods in a final push to Get Out the Vote for Smart Justice!

As our region’s top prosecutor, the DA makes important decisions affecting the lives of more than three million San Diego County residents. The DA is an elected public official and accountable to us all.
We need your help to engage county voters to support Smart Justice values.
These values are:

• Reducing mass incarceration;
• Seeking justice, not just convictions;
• Ending racial bias;
• Creating transparency in decision-making; and
• Holding police and prosecutors accountable for misconduct.
